What we are learning this week:
Weekly Bible Verse: "God is love." I John 4:8 Phonics: Reviewing vowels and consonants. Please work at home on their blends: ba, be, bi, bo, bu....... Math: Reviewing numbers 1,2,3, 4,5, 7,8, 9, 10,11 & 12 Also, counting 1-75. Handwriting: Letters Ww, Vv, Jj, Kk, Ll / Numbers 1-11 *READING GROUPS* We began reading groups last week in our class. I am so pleased with how well the children are doing, already! The children will be placed in a particular reading group in which they can feel successful. No reading group meets daily. So, if your child has not brought home a book in a few days, do not worry. When a book is completed, I will put a sticker on it and they will put it in their folder to go home. It is theirs to keep and practice. Let them read it to you, grandparents, siblings, neighbors, etc... The more they read, the better for them. If you have any questions about the reading groups, just let me know. I am here to answer any questions. Thank you so much for all your hard work at home. It is evident in the classroom. :)
