Before your child comes to the class please make sure they have taken care of all restroom needs. They may bring portable game units, but no headphones are allowed. The bus will be locked so that we can leave these on the bus while we are in WonderWorks. We are practicing for Bible Sword Drill Competition right now. Our class representatives will be picked soon. For the Poetry Competition we will all read the same poem in class for several days. I will choose the representatives by who (after several days of practice) shows the best expression and appropriate excitement for the poem. The poem is not memorized. Please let me know if your child would like to sign-up for our Elementrary Fine Arts piano solo, vocal, and/or strings competition. The date of the in-house competition is February 24th at 8:30 a.m. For our next English chapter we will be learning how to write a book report. Make sure your child has their REALISTIC FICTION BOOK with them every day next week. There will be a five point homework grade given each day for bringing the book with them. We will have a Valentine Party, but it is very low key. This is a party I put on for the class as my valentine to them. The names of all of our class members are listed in the red section to the left so that you can know who and how many valentines you need to do. Students do need to decorate a shoe box for a valentine box. Have them decorate it so that it matches their personalities.
