About me

Sarah Gillenwater

I was saved when I was 6 years old. I was at home, sitting on my bed by myself, and I realized that I couldn't go to heaven, even if I didn't get in much trouble, because I was a sinner. I also knew that even though my family all went to church and were saved, it didn't help me to get to heaven. I prayed, asked the Lord to forgive me, told Him I believed He is the only way to heaven, and asked Him to take control of my life.

I went to Bob Jones University and graduated with a degree in Elementary Education. I now have 3 years of teaching experience. I am currently working on a Master's degree in Educational Leadership from Gardner Webb University.

My husband is Kevin Gillenwater; he is on the facilities staff here at Grace Baptist Church.
