Wilmington Christian Academy offers the best, most comprehensive summer camp program in the Wilmington area. Excellent facilities, caring, professional teachers, and enthusiastic coaches create an enjoyable summer experience at WCA that will be remembered for years to come.

  • The $80 camp fee is due the first day of camp (credit cards, cash, and checks acceptable).
  • A $20 Registration Fee is due when registering for an Enrichment Camp. (non-refundable)

Week 1: June 11-14

Morning Sessions: (8-11:00 a.m.)

Princess Spa and Relaxation Camp - Gr K-2 (girls)

Manicures, pedicures, and facials! Oh my! Come have a relaxing time where you'll learn how to give a massage, make facials, body scrubs, and more. Melt away the stress of the school year with a calm retreat for a change. All activities aim to teach the true meaning of beauty, confidence, learning the importance of taking care of your body, and ultimately having fun!

 

Dino-mite Dinosaur Camp  - Gr K-2

Roarrr! Come explore the world of dinosaurs as we dig for fossils, go on a dinosaur hunt, and create our own unique creatures. Through many hands-on activities and plenty of adventures, campers will have a roarin' good time!

Afternoon Sessions: (12:30-3:30 pm)

Homemade Candy –   Gr 2-8

Come learn the art of making candy.  From simple recipes to more complex, campers will create the best caramel popcorn, dreamy fudge, and more.  Instructions in measuring and mixing will produce varieties of sweet treats to share and eat.  Recipe booklets will be yours to take home to continue to impress family and friends.

Star Wars LEGO Camp Gr 3-8

There has been an awakening in the Force! Explore the galaxy and master your Force while constructing LEGO Star Wars sets. Be prepared to hunt down the enemy and play out your own exciting battle scenes. Get ready for action!

Week 2: June 18-21

Morning Sessions: 8:00-11:00 am

Discover Wilmington             Gr 3-8

Discover summer fun in Wilmington and beyond! We will take a boat ride on the Cape Fear River and stop at Kilwins for ice cream. We will take a Ferry Ride to Southport and see the Maritime Museum. Paddle boats at Carolina Beach and Britt’s donuts. Tour Wilmington on a Trolley and see the Railroad Museum.                               

Afternoon Sessions: 12:30-3:30 pm

Cookies Galore –        Gr 2-8

Learn to follow recipes, mix, and bake delicious cookies.  Campers will be able to whip up the best chocolate chips, snickerdoodles, no-bakes, peanut butter cookies and more.  Best part is eating the results.  Each camper receives a recipe booklet to take home and continue baking for family and friends.

Week 3: June 25-28

Morning Sessions: 8:00-11:00 am

Discover How They Do It      Gr 3-8

Visit a radio studio, a TV station, a bakery, a donut shop, a fire station, and other places to discover the inside scoop on how they do it. Meet the people that make things happen in Wilmington!

Afternoon Sessions: 12:30-3:30 pm

Brownies and Bars – Gr 2-8

Everybody loves warm brownies right out of the oven, right?  Come learn the basics in baking, how to follow recipes, and create chocolate brownies, blonde brownies, lemon bars, and more.  All camper take home their own recipe booklet so they can keep baking at home.

Week 4: July 9-12

Morning Sessions: 8:00-11:00 am

LEGO City Camp         Gr 1-3

Get your hard hat on and prepare to build! Campers will construct various LEGO City sets of their choice as they learn about how community helpers play important roles throughout the city. There are also thousands of free-build pieces that they can use for imaginative play.   

Afternoon Sessions: 12:30-3:30 pm

Cupcake Camp –         Gr 2-8

Party time!  Let’s learn to make cupcakes from scratch.  We’ll begin with basic baking instructions, add a variety of icings and create delicious cupcakes for entertaining and eating.  Then, each camper takes home their own recipe booklet to continue creative baking at home.

Week 5: July 16-19

Sailing Into 3rd Grade          Gr 3

Don’t let the waves sink your ship! Join us for learning games and activities to help transition from 2nd to 3rd grade.

Forensic Camp –         Gr 5-8

AHA!! That’s the sound of campers solving a crime. This camp is geared toward hands-on learning in the field of forensics. If you love solving puzzles, going to science museums and watching forensic television shows, then come learn the hows and whys behind crime scene investigation.

Afternoon Sessions: 12:30-3:30 pm

Pizza! Pizazz! –           Gr 2-8

Campers, come learn how to make pizzas from scratch!  Starting with homemade pizza dough, we make the sauces, then add toppings and cheeses.  Each day we will learn to bake a different pizza to devour with family and friends.  There will be no limits to the delicious results.

Week 6: July 23-26

Morning Sessions: 8:00-11:00 am

Kindergarten Corner   Gr. Kindergarten

Calling new kindergartners to Kindergarten Corner! Join us for phonics, reading, and math review to get a jumpstart on kindergarten. We will review through hands-on activities, games, and much more. Get a jumpstart for a successful transition to kindergarten!

Counting On You         Gr 3-6
Based on the children’s book “Counting on Frank” by Rod Clement, this STEAM camp will give students the opportunity to look at the world in detail- from macaroni to how fast you grow.  We will take measurements (math skills practice) and then use our measurements to write our own children’s book.   This is an excellent opportunity to keep your math skills sharp while being creative and having fun.

Creating Pies   Gr 2-8

Master the art of creating incredible pies- flakey crusts, fruit pies, cream pies, pumpkin pies, and more. Follow recipes, measure, mix, and bake up a different pie each day to take home and devour.  And then, the recipes are yours to take home and keep baking.

Week 7: July 30-Aug 2

Morning Sessions: 8:00-11:00 am

Jumpstart to First Grade        Gr. 1

Calling all new first graders! Dust off the summer cobwebs! Get ready for first grade through phonics, reading, math, and writing review. We will review through hands-on activities, games, fun reading, and writing activities. You will love the Mimio interactive activities! Get a jumpstart to first grade!

 

Afternoon Sessions: 12:30-3:30 pm

Cornbread Camp –      Gr 2-8

Do you love fresh southern cornbread, wholesome apple cake, banana bread, pumpkin bread and more? Come learn how to follow recipes, measure, mix, and bake fantastic sweet breads everyone will enjoy.  Every camper will leave their own recipe collection and the skill to continue creating at home.
