Wilmington Christian Academy offers the best, most comprehensive summer camp program in the Wilmington area. Excellent facilities, caring, professional teachers, and enthusiastic coaches create an enjoyable summer experience at WCA that will be remembered for years to come.

Numerous half-day, weekly camps are offered throughout the summer. All camps and dates will be posted by February 1st. Camps are offered in art, computers, science, drama, music, engineering, cooking, and much more!

All day camp enrollment will be completed through Campsite. Returning campers may use their pin # to re-enroll. If you have any trouble registering, please contact the elementary office at  (910) 791-4248 ext. 5516

Basketball Camp

July 10-13

Cost: $100 (Due the 1st day of camp)
Times: 2nd - 4th Graders . . . . 8:00 - 11:00am 5th - 8th Graders. . . . .12:30 - 3:30pm

Daily Instruction
Fundamentals of ball handling, passing, shooting, footwork, man-to-man defense will be emphasized. Campers will receive a camp t-shirt.

Competitions
Competitions include one-on-one, free throw, three-on-three “cut throat”, and hot shot. Prizes will be given.

Game Play
Each team should get at least two 20-minute games per day.

Soccer Camp

June 12-15

Cost: $100 (Due the 1st day of camp)
Times: 3 - 5th Graders . . . . . . .8:00 - 11:00am 6 - 8th Graders . . . . . . 12:30 - 3:30pm

Daily Instruction
Fundamentals in dribbling, passing, shooting, defense, and game strategy will be empha- sized.

Competitions
After drills, players will practice those skills in fun games such as line soccer, soccer golf, etc. Prizes will be given. Campers will be given a camp t-shirt.

Game Play
Each day’s sessions will end with team games. Tournament, small-sided, and indoor matches will bring each day to a great end!

Volleyball Camp

June 5-8

Cost: $100 (Due the 1st day of camp)
Grades: 4th-8th Graders
Time: 
Monday & Tuesday . . . . 3:30 - 7:00pm
Wednesday . . . . . . . . . . 1:30 - 5:00pm
Thursday . . . . . . . . . . . . 3:00 - 6:00pm

General Information
The camp will be conducted on two separate courts to accommodate skill levels. Each day will be divided into two sessions with a 15-minute break between the sessions. Campers will be given a camp t-shirt.

Daily Instruction
Instruction and drills covering passing, setting, spiking, blocking, defensive and offensive sys- tems, serving and game play.

Competitions
Thursday’s schedule will be entirely game play where campers will use the skills they have learned. Prizes will be given after Thursday’s session.

Sports Adventure Camp

June 19-22

Cost: $100 (Due the 1st day of camp) Grades: 1st - 5th Grades
Time: 8:00 - 11:00am

General Information
Come play Frisbee golf, miniature golf, bowling, croquet and many other lawn sports!

Cross Country Camp

July 31–Aug 3

Cost: $100 (Due the 1st day of camp) Ages: 5th - 10th Graders
Time: 8:00 - 11:00am

General Information
Come get a head start on training. Learning proper warmup and stretching techniques will led us into our morning run (1-3 miles). This will be followed by discussions on healthy foods, the importance of hydration and a sample snack. We will also be working on our core strength through light weights, plyometrics, palates and yoga. Education on proper shoes, running apparel and gadgets will round out our days.

Necessary Items: running shoes, comfortable clothes (bring an extra set), watch, and water bottle.

June 26-29 & July 17-20

Your serve! Have you ever picked up a tennis racket and hit the ball? If not, we will teach you how to play the game. Even if you already know how to play, you will learn how to be better at the things that will make you a win- ner on the court! Don’t forget the fun games, snacks, and recreation time!
